APPLICATIONS FOR 2021 ARE NOW OPEN

The Sciences Po Alumni UK Charity Trust have dedicated part of the funds raised since the first gala dinner back in September 2008 to finance scholarships every year for Sciences Po dual master’s degree programmes in the UK.

For the dual master’s degrees with Sciences Po and LSE:

  • The Assia de Juniac Excellency Award worth £ 16,500.

  • The Roger Seydoux Merit Award worth £ 9,000.

For the dual master’s degree with Sciences Po and King’s College London:

  • The Sciences Po - King’s College London dual master’s degree Award worth £ 10,000

 

All of the awards aim to contribute towards the cost of tuition fees during the second year of the dual master’s degree which is spent in London.

The Sciences Po Alumni UK Charity Trust 2021 Awards will be allocated to students selected by Sciences Po and LSE or KCL for any of the following double master’s degrees, class of 2021/2023:

1. SCIENCES PO - LSE DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

2. SCIENCES PO - LSE DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE IN IN PUBLIC POLICY AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

3. SCIENCES PO - LSE DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE IN EUROPEAN AFFAIRS

4. SCIENCES PO - LSE DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE IN URBAN POLICY

5. SCIENCES PO - KING'S COLLEGE LONDON DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

6. SCIENCES PO - LSE DUAL MASTER'S DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

Recipients of the 2021 Awards will be expected to participate actively in the activities of Sciences Po Alumni UK, the UK arm of the Association des Sciences Po.

 

When to apply

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE AWARDS IS INDEPENDENT FROM THE DEADLINES FOR THE DUAL MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES.

The deadline to submit an application to the dual master's degree programmes is usually between mid-January to mid-February (please check the Sciences Po's website for the exact dates).

The deadline to submit the application to the Assia de Juniac and Roger Seydoux Awards is May 24th 2021.

The deadline to submit the application to the King's College Award is April 26th 2021.

Applicants are invited to apply ONLY AFTER they have been notified of their admission by Sciences Po to one of the five dual degree programmes and ONLY ONCE they have received an email inviting them to do so.

Applications must be submitted only by e-mail using the following subject format depending upon the programme of study:

 

  • LSE Dual Master’s Degree Alumni UK 2021 Awards - Surname, Name

  • King’s Dual Master’s Degree Alumni UK 2021 Award - Surname, Name

Required documents

All documents must be translated into English or French if they are not written in one of these two languages.

Applications for the 2021 Awards should have included the following documents:

  1. An application letter to convey the applicant’s motivation for the programme and when possible their career plan. The application letter must also provide details regarding the applicant’s financial situation and justifying the need for a scholarship.

  2. Details of funding for the 2 years of the double master’s degree (i.e. a provisional budget, generally in a table format, including tuition fees and living expenses and outlining any potential funding gap and sources of income).

  3. Parents’ income tax filings for the last two years considered by the state of residence; any other proof of parents’ incomes. Alternatively, documents that show the student is self-financing their studies.

  4. An up-to-date CV

Please do not send any academic records with the 2021 Awards applications.

Please only send/submit PDF documents.

When reviewing the applications, special attention was given to the following criteria:

  1. financial needs

  2. academic excellence and profile

  3. motivation

  4. career plan

  5. potential for involvement in the Sciences Po Alumni community.

After obtaining satisfactory references, the 2021 Awards will be allocated to the two successful applicants.
